NSPTA Weekly e-News
If you are not receiving weekly emails from the PTA with the latest news, please take a few minutes to add yourself to our distribution list.
Questions, comments or postings for our website and/or weekly enews should be directed to the PTA general mailbox: nsptaboard@gmail.com.
We hope all our families take this unexpected time at home to spend time together.  Go for a walk, play a game, watch a movie, and of course practice your math and read every day!  Some things you can do: keep checking back for updates, order tickets for carnival (see below for cheddar up link), order your year book (see below for cheddar up link), and order your school supply kit for the 2020-2021 school year.  Follow us on Facebook for virtual spirit week ideas.

Take a night off from cooking!
Mark your calendar and join your North Star family at one (or all) of our restaurant nights this year:
MORE DATES COMING!

Information about Carnival
We have tentatively rescheduled our Carnival to Friday, May 8, 2020.  We were able to secure our vendors to this date as well.  In the event this date has to be moved and we are unable to reschedule, we will still be raffling off the baskets our amazing volunteers have created.  We have a plan for the silent auction items as well if we are unable to have the Carnival this year.  More information to come if that happens.  We encourage you to use the Cheddar Up link below to purchase tickets.

1. Thank you to all the parents who agreed to sign up to help shop for one (or more) of the many baskets we will be raffling off at the end of Carnival.
2. We are still accepting donations for our baskets.  Please use the following form (or donate online).  The prize for each student in the highest donating class in each grade will receive 10 tickets to carnival.  *If each family donates at least $10 we will fully fund every basket.*
3. If you own a business and would like to donate to one of our baskets or to our silent auction, please email Kristen Dassel (kwdassel@gmail.com).
4. Get ready for a fun filled family night
tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2020 at North Star's Annual Carnival.  Save time and pre-order your tickets (paper form OR online).  (Tickets can be used on games and bounce houses.  Face paint, spray tattoos, and balloon art are cash.  Food is cash or card.)  Thank you for those who have ordered tickets prior to 3/13/2020.  The board will be busy labeling these tickets for your students.
5.  Once we know when the students will return to school, we will post a new sign up for Carnival.  Please consider signing up for one or more time slots, as we can not have Carnival without our volunteers.

**We are so excited to help our sister school, Warner Elementary through these two fundraisers.  Thank you to those members who attended the January meeting and voted for 100% of all money collected for the Duck Tape and Money Wars fundraiser to go to the new Warner Elementary PTA.**
