National PTA Reflections Program 2019/2020

The North Star PTA is inviting all teachers and parents to encourage their students to participate in the National PTA Reflections Program. This year’s theme is _______ Teachers can link this year's theme to work that is already being done in the classroom. For instance, teachers may consider having a poetry, creative writing, or drawing project in class as it pertains to the theme. Parents can encourage their children to tap into their creative spirit to showcase their talents.

Students can submit entries in any of the following six categories: literature, visual arts, photography, music, dance, or video/film production.   The competition is judged primarily on how well the individual student uses his or her artistic vision to portray the theme.

Please make sure all entries include the student’s name, teacher's name, and room number on the BACK of the entry. The PTA does not limit the number of categories from which to choose or the number of entries a student may submit.

All completed entries should be turned in to the Reflections Box in the front office by 3pm on ___________.

First through third places and two honorable mentions will be awarded in each category. The winning entries are then forwarded to the State level. State level winners go onto national competition.

Rules for each category and the entry form are attached. For any questions or concerns, please contact Jessica.
